Habitat for Humanity submitted a proposal and has been awarded the town-owned parcel of land at 82 River Street in South Acton. In accordance with the town RFP, Habitat will develop a single family affordable home on the property on a zero profit basis.

A map to the right shows the location of 82 River Street in Acton. It is located approximately half a mile from South Acton village and the communter rail station. The parcel is on the north side of River Street, just west of Chardwick St.

Here is the architect's rendering of the house that we are proposing to build, designed to balance needs of the family, the size and features of a typical Habitat house, and the elements necessary to fit in the neighborhood and the South Acton Historic District :
